1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using EzLoop, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
These terms apply to all visitors, buyers, and sellers on EzLoop, regardless of how you access the platform.
2. What EzLoop Is
EzLoop is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers of secondhand furniture and household items — designed specifically for international students in the US navigating move-in and move-out seasons.
EzLoop facilitates transactions but is not a party to the agreement between buyers and sellers. We provide the platform, payment escrow, and dispute resolution — but the transaction itself is between you and the other user.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use EzLoop. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may ask for verification if there is reason to doubt eligibility.
4. Seller Rules
As a seller, you agree to:
- Only list items you own and have the legal right to sell
- Describe items accurately — honest photos, truthful condition notes, correct dimensions
- Honor the price and pickup time you agreed to with the buyer
- Not list any prohibited items (see Section 8)
Sellers who repeatedly misrepresent items or fail to honor commitments may be suspended from the platform.
5. Buyer Rules
As a buyer, you agree to:
- Pay exclusively through EzLoop's escrow system — never send payment directly to a seller outside the platform
- Inspect items at pickup and confirm receipt accurately in the app
- Raise any issues within the dispute window (48 hours after confirmed pickup)
Payments made outside EzLoop's system are not protected by our escrow or dispute resolution process.
6. Payments & Escrow
All transactions must go through EzLoop's payment system. Payments are held in escrow after a buyer pays and are only released to the seller once the buyer confirms receipt of the item.
EzLoop charges a platform fee, calculated as a percentage of the transaction value. The full fee schedule will be published at launch. Early waitlist members will receive a discounted fee rate as a thank-you for their early support.
7. Disputes
If something goes wrong with a transaction — the item is significantly different from its listing, it wasn't received, or there's another issue — contact us within 48 hours of the confirmed pickup time.
We'll review the evidence submitted by both parties and mediate a resolution. EzLoop's decision in disputes is final, and we aim to be fair to both sides.
8. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be listed on EzLoop under any circumstances:
- Living animals
- Perishable food or beverages
- Firearms, weapons, or ammunition
- Illegal substances or drug paraphernalia
- Counterfeit goods
- Items that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Personal information or data belonging to others
Additionally, electronics and clothing are currently out of scope — EzLoop is focused on furniture and household items only. This scope may expand in the future.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use EzLoop to:
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
- Attempt to circumvent or bypass our payment and escrow system
- Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
10. Intellectual Property
EzLoop's branding, design, code, and platform are owned by EzLoop. You may not reproduce or repurpose them without written permission.
Content you post on EzLoop — photos, descriptions, reviews — remains yours. However, by posting it, you grant EzLoop a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the platform and in marketing materials related to EzLoop.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
EzLoop is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that every listing is accurate, that the platform will be available without interruption or error, or that all transactions will complete without dispute.
We're a marketplace — we connect buyers and sellers and provide tools to help transactions go smoothly, but we're not a retailer and we can't guarantee the quality or condition of any item listed by a user.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EzLoop's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the platform fee collected in the specific transaction related to that claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Changes
We may update these terms as EzLoop develops. When we make meaningful changes, we'll notify registered users by email so you can review them before they take effect.
Continued use of EzLoop after updated terms are published means you accept the changes.
